What was the event about?<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This event was a basketball tournament to raise money for the\u00a0organization\u00a0\u201cDays for\u00a0Girls Varese\u201d and \u201cDots and Loops Nepal\u201d.<\/p>\n

Days for girls is an\u00a0organization\u00a0which supports poor girls and\u00a0young\u00a0women worldwide.\u00a0 Volunteers in this\u00a0organization\u00a0sew reusable menstruation kits that are sent to the girls.\u00a0\u00a0 The girls are also given sexual health education and sponsorships to stay in education.\u00a0\u00a0 Each\u00a0contestant\u00a0in the basketball tournament was asked to gather money from sponsors. \u00a0The Parents Association sponsored prizes for the winning team \u2013 thank you!<\/p>\n

Was it fun to take part in the basketball games?<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

We interviewed\u00a0some\u00a0contestants, asking if they enjoyed being there. The answers were very\u00a0positive.<\/p>\n

To the question \u201cHow was your first match?\u201d the most common answer was \u201cGood!\u201d\u00a0Not only the players who won said\u00a0this, but also the ones who lost, but still enjoyed the experience.<\/p>\n

When we asked how their teamwork was, there were no negative answers.<\/p>\n

At the end, the winners were announced, who then got a prize.\u00a0Also,\u00a0the person who raised the most money for the charity\u00a0got a prize.\u00a0\u00a0 Students who were not playing were responsible for snacks and drinks, collecting sponsorship money and writing about the event.<\/p>\n

What was the result?\u00a0\u00a0 Everyone had fun and it worked out well.\u00a0\u00a0 Over \u20ac1150 was raised for charity –\u00a0 a great team effort.<\/p>\n

Days for girls\u00a0eine\u00a0Organisation, die\u00a0Spenden\u00a0sammelt,\u00a0um\u00a0M\u00e4dchen in Entwicklungsl\u00e4ndern<\/p>\n

eine\u00a0gute\u00a0Schulausbildung\u00a0zu\u00a0erm\u00f6glichen.Denn\u00a0wenn\u00a0M\u00e4dchen\u00a0ein\u00a0bestimmtes\u00a0Alter\u00a0erreichen,\u00a0bekommen\u00a0sie\u00a0ihre\u00a0Periode.\u00a0Doch\u00a0weil\u00a0in viele L\u00e4nder\u00a0 die\u00a0M\u00e4dchen\u00a0nicht\u00a0die\u00a0Hygienemittel haben, die\u00a0sie\u00a0brauchen,\u00a0oder\u00a0sich\u00a0nicht\u00a0leisten\u00a0k\u00f6nnen,\u00a0m\u00fcssen\u00a0sie\u00a0gezwungenerma\u00dfen\u00a0zuhause\u00a0bleiben\u00a0und\u00a0verpassen\u00a0den\u00a0Unterricht. Dies hat\u00a0zufolge,\u00a0dass\u00a0sie\u00a0keine\u00a0gute\u00a0Schulausbildung\u00a0bekommen,\u00a0dadurch\u00a0bekommen sie fr\u00fcher Kinder oder kriegen\u00a0sie\u00a0einen\u00a0schlecht\u00a0bezahlten\u00a0Job und\u00a0dadurch\u00a0leben\u00a0sie\u00a0in\u00a0Armut.\u00a0Und\u00a0wenn\u00a0ihre\u00a0T\u00f6chter\u00a0auch\u00a0ihre\u00a0Periode\u00a0bekommen,\u00a0wiederholt\u00a0sich\u00a0das\u00a0ganze. Days for Girls\u00a0versucht\u00a0mit\u00a0Spenden von Geld, N\u00e4hmaschinen\u00a0oder\u00a0Stoff von\u00a0Kleidung\u00a0sogenannte\u00a0\u201cKits\u201c zu machen. Diese\u00a0Kits beinhalten\u00a0Unterhosen zum Wechseln, Seife zum\u00a0waschen\u00a0und\u00a0waschbarer Damenbinden aus Baumwolle.\u00a0Dadurch\u00a0k\u00f6nnen\u00a0die\u00a0M\u00e4dchen\u00a0weiter zur Schule gehen\u00a0und bekommen eine gute Ausbildung.<\/p>\n

Die Klasse 3D mit Fr Thomson und Herr Guerra\u00a0organisierte ein\u00a0Basketballturnier\u00a0um\u00a0Geld f\u00fcr die Organisation zu sammeln.\u00a0Teilnehmen\u00a0durften alle die\u00a0mitspielen\u00a0wollten.\u00a0Insgesamt gab es 6 Teams mit 6 bis 7 Spielern pro Team.\u00a0Das Team mit den h\u00f6chsten Spenden bekam noch Preise von der\u00a0Schule organisiert.\u00a06 Tickets f\u00fcr Europabad,\u00a0mehrere\u00a0T-Shirts, mehrere Kappen und\u00a03\u00a0Sportb\u00e4lle k\u00f6nnen die Teams gewinnen, dank der Elternvereinigung.\u00a0\u00a0Am Ende\u00a0war es ein spa\u00dfiges Turnier, wo die Leute sich am\u00fcsiert haben\u00a0und Geld f\u00fcr einen guten Zweck gesammelt haben.\u00a0Weitere Infos gibt es unter:<\/p>\n
