MEC 2023 was an enlightening experience for all the participants who gained valuable access to the day-to-day lives of politicians and journalists.<\/p>\n
The first day began with an introduction in Brussel\u2019s newly-built primary schools where we were introduced to our fellow ministers, the presidency and commission.<\/p>\n
On the second day the MEC inauguration took place. We began with a few introductions, for example by Andreas Beckman, the Secretary-General of the European Schools, Philippe Mero, of EUROCONTROL and Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission. Directly after that, we went into the councils, debated our proposals and found mutual grounds.<\/p>\n
The final day began with a short recap about the previous day and directly after that we dived back into the proposals and finished discussing them. MEC ended with the closing speeches by members of the states and the European anthem.<\/p>\n
