Teacher for the Secondary School Subject:   ART
from the 1st of September 2025 / 16 teaching periods per week One-year contract

The European School Karlsruhe provides education for approximately 1,000 pupils aged 3 to 18 in three language sections (German, English, French). We are looking for a Secondary school Art teacher in German or English for grades 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 – S1, S2, S3, S4 and S5 classes (link to the S1-S2-S3 syllabus / link to the S4-S5 syllabus). Applicants must have a teaching qualification for the subject and be fluent in German and English. The position includes 16 teaching hours (16 x 45 min.).

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of the European School in a multilingual, multicultural environment at a school with excellent academic standards. The European Schools are official educational institutions jointly supervised by the governments of the Member States of the European Union. In all these countries, they are legally considered public institutions. There are currently 13 European Schools in 6 countries. The city of Karlsruhe is located between Baden-Baden and Heidelberg, very close to the French border. Karlsruhe has a lively cultural landscape with parks, lakes and forests.
