The European Schools are official schools established jointly by the governments of the Member States of the European Union and the European Communities. They enjoy the rights and obligations of a public educational institution in the countries where they are located.
The European School Karlsruhe (ESK) aims to instil in its pupils a spirit of openness, tolerance, respect and human values by placing the child at the centre of learning, and to prepare them for an internationally recognised diploma.
